“¿De qué se trata la vida?”

Camilo y Roberto, los protagonistas de esta novela, concluyen que vivir consiste en toparse con personas que nos harán maldecirla, acabar con ella de las maneras más psicópatas, y en perder tu tiempo tratando de sobrevivir con las pocas herramientas que te quedan: una tarjeta ilimitada, polvo blanco, diez putas y un bartender. Para ellos, bajo los efectos de ciertas sustancias la vida es más llevadera, más olvidable, más rápida, y tienes más oportunidades de morir antes y terminar con el drama.

“What’s the meaning of life?”

Camilo and Roberto, protagonists in this tale, reach the conclusion that life is a series of unfortunate encounters—chance meetings with people who will make us curse it, end it in the most psycho of manners—and a constant waste of time while hanging on using the meager tools we are left with: an unlimited credit card, white powder, ten whores, and a bartender. Life under the influence of certain substances becomes more bearable, more forgettable; it passes by faster and there are far more opportunities for dying and finally putting an end to all the drama.
