José de San Martín es el Libertador de Argentina, Chile y Perú. Nació en América, de padres españoles, y su familia se regresó a España cuando él apenas tenía 6 años de edad. Sin embargo, el lazo que entabló con su tierra natal era tan poderoso, que cuando estalló la lucha por la Independencia, no dudo en dejar su brillante carrera militar en España para unirse a sus compatriotas americanos.

José de San Martín is the Libertador of Argentina, Chile, and Peru. He was born in the Americas to Spanish parents and returned with his family to Spain when he was only six years old. Even though he was only a little boy when he left the Americas, his love for the country of his birth was so strong that he abandoned a brilliant military career in Spain to join his countrymen in the war for Independence.
